Contaminant Removal System


This machine was designed to monitor granulated PET bottle flake and to remove label and PVC cap contamination prior to reprocessing.


It used high speed line-scan imaging technology to inspect the flake moving along a vibratory conveyor, the contamination, once detected, was removed by an array of venture vacuum heads.


The inspection algorithm and the control software was written in Microsoft 'C' and was implemented using an Industrial PC.
